## Summary

**This bill would prioritize the Eastern Mediterranean as a strategic gateway for energy security and defense cooperation within the India‑Middle East‑Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).** It would direct the Secretary of State, working with the Secretary of Energy and other agencies, to pursue multilateral dialogues, advance connectivity and energy infrastructure, and deepen defense, education, and research ties with Egypt, Greece, Cyprus, and Israel. - Governments and diplomats: Would push U.S. policy to focus on Egypt, Greece, Cyprus, and Israel and institutionalize multilateral strategic dialogues, including resuming the 3+1 Greece‑Cyprus‑Israel‑U.S. format. - Energy and trade: Would steer U.S. engagement toward undersea interconnectors, LNG terminals, and other projects that link India, the Gulf, and Europe and strengthen regional energy security. - Defense, research, and oversight: Would expand defense and security cooperation, study scaling U.S.‑Israel bilateral research models to other partners, and require reports to Congress within one year, annually for 5 years, then every 2 years for 10 years.
