## Summary

**National Chronic Pain Information System** to collect, link, and standardize population-level data on chronic pain and guide treatment and policy. It would also require a public Chronic Pain Information Hub, conflict-of-interest disclosures for collaborators, and a report to Congress. - Patients and families would get clearer, aggregated information on how common different chronic pain conditions are, how pain progresses, co-occurring conditions, and evidence about non-opioid and multidisciplinary treatments. - Researchers and public health agencies would gain deidentified medical claims and survey data and common definitions to make studies comparable. The Secretary may seek appropriations for fiscal years 2026 through 2030 to carry out these activities. - Clinicians and policymakers would receive translated clinical tools and population research standards to evaluate treatment effectiveness and the use and outcomes of opioid-sparing approaches.

- Disclosure rules for research collaborators: benefit, low. If enacted, people or groups who work with HHS on this chronic pain research and who receive certain payments from drug or device manufacturers would have to disclose those payments to HHS.
