## Summary

**Bars CEOs convicted of certain corruption-related crimes from serving in the executive branch.** This bill would make any person who, while serving as a chief executive officer of a public or private non-Federal entity, committed a covered crime and was later finally convicted ineligible for appointment or employment in the executive branch. - People who served as CEOs and were finally convicted of a covered crime would be ineligible for any executive branch appointment or employment. - Any individual serving in the executive branch on the date of enactment who meets that ineligibility would be removed from service. - The bill defines eight categories of covered crimes, including bribery, fraud, insider trading, tax evasion, computer crime, embezzlement, wage theft, and copyright infringement, and it also covers comparable state offenses.
