## Summary

**Creates a veteran-focused agricultural grant program** to train U.S. military veterans in farm and ranch business skills and expand pathways into agriculture. The program would award competitive grants for classroom training, hands-on field experiences, curricula development, workshops, and other activities that build agricultural knowledge and management skills. - Veterans would receive targeted training, instructor-supervised field experiences, and business-management education aimed at starting or improving farms and ranches. - Land-grant colleges, cooperative extension services, State departments of agriculture, Hispanic-serving and other eligible colleges, nonprofits, and community organizations could compete for grants and must provide non-Federal matching funds equal to the grant (a 1:1 requirement). *This would authorize $5.0 million per year from 2027 through 2031, totaling $25.0 million and increasing federal spending by that amount.*
