## Summary

**The DRIVE Across America Act of 2026 would create the Cleaner TRAILS Initiative to expand and coordinate deployment of _zero-emission vehicle charging and fleets on National Park and Forest lands_.** It would set interagency rules for siting chargers, fleet targets, traveler charging priorities, workforce training, and partnerships to build and operate infrastructure. - Visitors and travelers would see more public charging and clear maps and information for sites on and within 25 miles of covered federal lands, including support for rental cars, shuttles, and other travel services. - Forest Service and National Park Service fleets and shuttles would face new ZEV goals by 2030: the greater of 125% of current ZEV counts or 25% of total fleet vehicles, plus required workforce training to run and maintain ZEV systems. - The bill would fund construction and partnerships by authorizing new program money and fees and by allowing agreements with states, Tribes, local governments, concessionaires, and private partners to buy, install, and operate charging and grid upgrades. *Would authorize $100.0 million per agency per year for FY2027–2031, creating new federal spending authority that would raise potential federal outlays if appropriated.*
