## Summary

This bill would create the Stroke Act to fund research, build a national stroke registry, and run grants and education to **improve stroke care delivery** across the country. - Patients and families: Would support better access to hyperacute and acute stroke care, improve post-stroke rehabilitation coordination, and fund a national prevention and education campaign at $2 million per year. - EMS, hospitals, and clinicians: Would fund training for emergency medical services, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians on stroke transport and pre-hospital care, expand telestroke in resource-poor regions, and authorize $10 million per year for system-strengthening grants. - Researchers and public health agencies: Would fund delivery-focused stroke research at $3 million per year and provide $10 million per year for CDC-administered grants to expand a national stroke registry that collects standardized care, treatment, quality, and outcome data and supports data sharing and quality improvement. *Would authorize about $150 million in new federal funding from 2027 through 2032, increasing federal outlays over that period.*
