## Summary

**Natural lifetime injunctions** would create a federal, lifelong ban on contact between certain convicted offenders and identified victims. Courts would have to issue these orders at sentencing for covered federal felony violent and sexual offenses and treat violations as contempt of court. - Victims would be able to get a permanent court order barring any direct or indirect contact. The order must be served during sentencing, victims may initiate the order, and no filing fee may be charged. - People convicted of covered felonies would face a lifetime prohibition on contact with identified victims, and violating the order would be contempt of court. Covered offenses include felony crimes of violence, felonies with sexual-act elements, and enumerated federal statutes such as 1591 and 2251. - Courts must impose and serve the order at sentencing and hold a hearing to consider termination or suspension motions. Termination is limited to a victim's motion based on a pardon, commutation, or changed circumstances, or a defendant's motion showing the conviction was dismissed or overturned, and the court may receive evidence.
