## Summary

**Increase nurse faculty and expand career pathways to grow the nursing workforce.** It would require the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Labor to jointly review all grant programs that support the nurse workforce and, within 1 year, submit recommendations to Congress for changes. - Nurses with more than 10 years of clinical experience could gain clear pathways to become faculty at schools of nursing. - Licensed practical nurses would be the focus of recommendations to create and expand routes to become registered nurses. - Nursing schools and underserved communities would be prioritized, with recommended grant changes aimed at increasing nurse faculty where shortages are greatest.
