## Summary

**Pre-positioning U.S. war reserves in Taiwan.** This bill would let the President transfer certain obsolete or surplus Department of Defense items to a stockpile in Taiwan to serve as a war reserve or to replenish local stocks. - Taiwan would get a local war reserve made up of humanitarian and medical supplies plus munitions. Eligible items include armor, artillery, automatic-weapons ammunition, missiles, and other surplus or obsolete DoD items. - The Department of Defense could reduce inventory of obsolete or surplus items by transferring them into that Taiwanese stockpile for reserve purposes. - The President must notify Congress at least 30 days before any transfer. The Secretary of State must report within one year and then annually on items transferred, concessions received, and delivery timelines. The Secretary may combine these reports with existing Taiwan Enhanced Resilience Act reporting.
