## Summary

**Prohibits naming U.S. Navy vessels for sitting Presidents or Vice Presidents.** This bill would stop the Secretary of the Navy from naming or renaming any Navy ship for an individual who is serving as President or Vice President at the time of the naming, while permitting the Secretary to name or rename vessels for former Presidents or former Vice Presidents after they leave office.
