## Summary

**Blocks EPA from using IRIS assessments as a basis for regulation and permitting.** This bill would prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency from using any assessment produced by the Integrated Risk Information System to develop or finalize rules, carry out regulatory or enforcement or permitting actions, or inform air toxics assessments and related mapping or screening tools. - Facilities and industry that face EPA rules or permits would no longer see IRIS assessments cited as the scientific basis in those actions. - Communities, public health groups, and researchers would see air toxics mapping and screening tools stop relying on IRIS-generated assessments. *The bill specifies no new funding and does not impose direct effects on federal spending or revenues.*
