## Summary

**Creates a single, periodically updated federal list of critical minerals and materials.** This bill would add a new statutory "Critical Minerals and Materials List" and set firm deadlines for publishing and updating it to align agency definitions and program use. - Federal program administrators would have to use the most recently published list when running programs that reference the law. This makes the list the official reference point for covered federal activities. - The list must include any critical mineral designated under subsection (c) and any non-fuel mineral, element, substance, or material the Secretary of Energy has designated under subsection (a)(2). The Secretary must publish the list within 45 days of enactment and update it within 45 days after any new designation. - The Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Energy would be directed to coordinate updates "to the maximum extent practicable" so agency designations stay aligned. - The bill also inserts the phrase "minerals or materials" into existing language, redesignates a subsection, and amends the statutory title to reflect the harmonized list.
