## Summary

**Expands which produce counts for nutrition incentives.** It would let fresh frozen fruits and vegetables and add legumes to the list of eligible items so incentives can apply year-round under the Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program. - Families and shoppers: They would get more reliable access to nutrition incentives year-round because frozen fruits and vegetables can satisfy the program's year-round requirement. - Markets and retailers: More product types, including fresh frozen fruits, vegetables, and legumes, could be redeemed with the incentive, widening what vendors can offer to program participants. - Program rules: The bill would amend Section 4405 of the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008 to explicitly include fresh frozen produce for year-round availability and add legumes to the baseline eligible categories.
