## Summary

**Allows active-duty military spouses to receive firearms and ammunition at overseas duty stations.** The bill would let licensed dealers, importers, and manufacturers sell or ship firearms and ammunition to a service member's spouse on the same basis as the service member, and it would treat members and spouses as residents of certain states for federal firearms law purposes. - Spouses of active-duty members could receive firearms and ammunition at the member's duty station, including stations outside the United States. - Licensed dealers, importers, and manufacturers would be authorized to sell or ship firearms and ammunition to those spouses under the same rules that apply to service members. - For federal firearms laws the bill would treat members and spouses as residents of any State where they maintain legal residence, where the member's permanent duty station is located, or where the member keeps a home from which they commute to the duty station. - The changes would apply to conduct occurring after 180 days following enactment.
