## Summary

**Expanded registration and post-activity enforcement for foreign agents.** This bill would broaden who must register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act by making past activity part of the registration obligation and by letting the Justice Department seek court orders to force compliance even after someone stopped acting as an agent. - Individuals who served as agents: People who acted as agents of foreign principals during the five-year period ending on enactment, on enactment, or after enactment would face a duty to register that covers their past activities and could be compelled to comply for those periods. - Attorney General and DOJ enforcement: The Attorney General would be able to file for court orders requiring individuals to follow FARA rules while they acted as agents or at any time after those activities ended. - Congressional oversight and transparency: The bill would require the Department of Justice to deliver a machine-readable annual report, starting within one year, listing each enforcement action, the named individual, the rationale, and the status to key Senate and House committees and to any Member of Congress on request.
