## Bill overview: provisions PRIA read

- Full property tax relief for disabled veterans: benefit, high. Veterans with a 100% service-connected disability rating can get a full property tax exemption on their primary home. A home jointly owned with a spouse qualifies. A surviving spouse can keep claiming the exemption on their own primary home if they do not remarry.
- Disability letters support property tax claims: benefit, low. Applicants can use a written disability decision letter from the Social Security Administration to document disability for a property tax exemption. The letter alone does not qualify someone for an exemption.
