## Bill overview: provisions PRIA read

- Some vehicles avoid electric registration surcharges: benefit, low. Beginning January 1, 2026, Indiana exempts motor driven cycles from the extra annual electric-vehicle registration fee. Vehicles subject to Indiana’s motor carrier fuel tax are also exempt from that fee. These exemptions do not remove other registration fees or requirements.
