You may not have live music, karaoke, a DJ, dancing, floor shows, or similar entertainment without the right permit. These rules apply in Anne Arundel County.
- New entertainment permits for Anne Arundel bars: mixed, low. Beginning July 1, 2026, Anne Arundel alcohol licensees can add entertainment by permit. A Background permit ($100/year) allows more than one TV and piped-in music, but no dancing or floor shows. A General permit ($200 for beer-and-wine; $300 for beer, wine, and liquor) adds live music with up to fo…
