## Bill overview: provisions PRIA read

- Shooting range noise protected during hours: benefit, medium. Noise from shooting at a range during its posted hours is not a public nuisance. Range owners are protected from nuisance claims for that noise during those hours.
- Fines for public nuisance, including illegal camping: cost, high. The law defines camping that breaks a local or state law as a public nuisance. A person commits this offense by knowingly creating, conducting, or maintaining a public nuisance. If convicted, the court can fine up to $500 for each day. Each day counts as a separate offense, so fines can add up fast.
