- Museum renamed and leadership powers updated: benefit, low. The Nevada State Museum is now the Nevada State Museum Carson City. These changes take effect July 1, 2025.
- Stronger Native repatriation rules: benefit, low. Museums must write and follow rules to return prehistoric Native American remains and funerary objects. They must consult tribes and include tribal values. When remains or objects are found, the Museum Director must notify tribes, identify the closest cultural tie, and return items if the tribe ask…
- Museum fees set; kids visit free: mixed, low. The Board sets membership types and admission fees. Children under 18 get in free. The Board also sets fees for train rides, rentals, and services. The law does not list prices. These rules apply starting July 1, 2025.
