- 180-day notice for contract and pay changes: benefit, low. A property and casualty insurer must give you written notice at least 180 days before changing your producer contract. Any change to your pay counts as a contract change. The 180-day written notice rule applies to pay changes too.
- Exceptions to producer notice and renewals: cost, low. The 14-month notice and renewal rules do not apply if you were convicted of a dishonest act related to insurance work. They also do not apply if your producer license was revoked, your company surrendered its state license, or you are an employee of the insurer.
