Summary
Starting January 1, 2025, military veterans filing for Unemployment Compensation for Ex-Servicemembers (UCX) will see updated pay rates that match the new military pay raise. States will use this new schedule to figure out benefits for first-time claims when official military records aren’t available. This means some veterans could get a bit more money in their unemployment checks starting next year!

UCX Pay Schedule Raised Jan 1, 2025
If you are a veteran filing a first Unemployment Compensation for Ex-Servicemembers (UCX) claim and your DD Form 214 is not on file, your Federal military wages for that claim will be calculated using a revised Schedule of Remuneration that reflects the military pay increase effective for UCX first claims beginning with the first day of the first week that begins on or after January 1, 2025. The schedule lists new monthly, weekly, and daily rates by pay grade—for example, O-10 is $24,259.71 monthly ($5,660.60 weekly, $808.66 daily) and E-1 is $4,658.55 monthly ($1,086.99 weekly, $155.28 daily)—so some veterans may receive higher UCX payments starting on that date.
