Designated Persons’ U.S. Assets Frozen
The Treasury added one or more people to OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List and all their property and interests in property subject to U.S. jurisdiction is blocked. That means any funds or property in the United States tied to those listed persons are frozen, effective immediately.
U.S. Persons Barred From Transactions
U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with the persons placed on the SDN List, so Americans cannot lawfully do business with those listed individuals going forward. This prohibition is in effect immediately.
