Two Unit Upgrades at Burton Development
Georgia Power asked FERC to approve upgrades to two generating units at the Burton Development that would raise installed capacity from 8.1 megawatts (MW) to 9.6 MW. The upgrades are scheduled to begin in 2025 and are expected to take about four months per unit, but the company says the project’s operations and hydraulic capacity will not change.
