Applications for new pesticide ingredients
In December 2024, EPA announced it received applications to register pesticide products that contain active ingredients not included in any currently registered pesticide products. This means pesticide makers have asked to add entirely new active chemicals to the market, which could eventually give farmers or pesticide businesses new pest control options.
Public notice and comment opportunity
EPA is providing public notice of these applications and an opportunity to comment. If you care about pesticides, you can review the applications and submit comments to EPA during the comment period announced in this notice.
