Summary

The Defense Industrial Based Consortium (DIBC) just updated its member list, adding lots of new companies from all over the U.S., Australia, and Canada. This change keeps special legal protections in place that limit antitrust lawsuits to actual damages only. These updates took effect in early 2025 and help keep the defense industry working smoothly without costly legal distractions.

Antitrust Liability Limit Extended to New Members

On January 10, 2025, the Defense Industrial Based Consortium (DIBC) filed notifications adding many companies from the U.S., Australia, and Canada to the venture. The filing was made to extend the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 1993's protection that limits antitrust plaintiffs to recovering actual damages under specified circumstances for parties to this venture.
