Lead Smelters: Information Collection Continues
The EPA submitted a renewal of the information collection (ICR No. 1856.13; OMB Control No. 2060-0414) for the NESHAP for Primary Lead Smelting so plants keep providing compliance data. The renewal does not change the pollution rules and the ICR is currently approved through February 28, 2025; the notice states no new costs are expected.
Additional 30-Day Public Comment Window
The EPA is seeking an additional 30 days for public comments on the ICR for primary lead smelting; a prior 60-day comment period was published on May 18, 2023. If you are involved in lead smelting, the agency is inviting you to submit comments before the new 30-day deadline.
