Storage Capacity and Rate Changes

On February 28, 2025, East Cheyenne Gas Storage filed to change its certificate for the West Peetz and Lewis Creek fields in Logan County, Colorado. The filing would reduce certificated working gas capacity from 22.5 billion cubic feet (Bcf) to 12.5 Bcf, increase base gas from 15.7 Bcf to 22.1 Bcf, and reduce the maximum injection/withdrawal rate from 350 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) to 210 MMcf/d.

Within 90 days of this notice, Commission staff will either complete its environmental review and place it in the public record or issue a Notice of Schedule for Environmental Review. If a Notice of Schedule is issued it will identify the anticipated date for the final environmental impact statement (FEIS) or environmental assessment (EA), and Federal and State agencies will need to complete required Federal authorizations within 90 days of the FEIS or EA issuance.
