Museum Repatriation under NAGPRA

The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University completed an inventory under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and determined some human remains are culturally affiliated with Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The remains were identified from collections at Uintah and Ouray Agency, Uintah County, UT; Sherman Institute, Riverside County, CA; University of New Mexico, Alburquerque County, NM; and U.S. Indian Vocational School, Alburquerque County, NM — affiliated tribes or organizations should contact the museum to learn more or to claim the remains.
