No Penalty If Form Lacks OMB Number

If an FCC information collection (form) does not show a currently valid Office of Management and Budget (OMB) control number, you cannot be penalized for failing to comply with that collection. The FCC also says it may not conduct or sponsor a collection of information unless it displays a valid OMB control number; the notice cites the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 and the Small Business Paperwork Relief Act of 2002 and asks for comments especially from small businesses with fewer than 25 employees.
