USDA Will Use Results To Guide Support
The USDA says results from the 2027 Farm to School Census will be used to assess farm-to-school participation and to set priorities for USDA outreach and technical support, as required by the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act. The collection is a revision and three-year extension of OMB Control Number 0584-0646 (expiration 2025-05-31).
Large Annual Survey Reporting Burden
State, local, and tribal governments, school food authorities (SFAs), and businesses are asked to respond to the 2027 Farm to School Census once (annually). The notice says there will be 18,665 respondents and a total of 18,226 burden hours, and comments on the information collection are due by April 25, 2025.
