Charleston Race Week boating restrictions

From April 9, 2025, through April 13, 2025, the Coast Guard will prohibit vessels from entering, transiting through, anchoring in, or remaining within the designated Charleston, SC race area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Charleston (COTP) or a designated representative. If you boat or operate on Charleston waterways during those dates, you must get authorization or stay clear and plan for possible delays.
