Summary
WBI Energy Transmission needs more time to finish their pipeline project in Montana because they’re waiting on a key easement from a railway company. They’re asking to extend the deadline to December 31, 2025, so they can complete important construction work and get everything up and running. This affects local energy infrastructure but won’t cost extra money right now—just a bit more patience!

Pipeline completion delayed to Dec 31, 2025
WBI Energy Transmission asked the Commission to extend the deadline to complete the Elk Basin--Billings Replacement Project in Yellowstone County, Montana until December 31, 2025. The project self-implemented on April 24, 2024 and, by rule, should have been finished within one year; WBI says it received a draft easement from BNSF on March 12, 2025 and expects construction of Sections 1–3 will take about five months after a final easement is obtained.
