Bell 505 Door Ballast Removal Mandate
If you own or operate a Bell Model 505 helicopter in the U.S., the FAA requires you to remove all ballast weights from the aft movable ballast box assembly and prohibits using ballast weights in that assembly. The AD responds to deformation and improper pin engagement in the knuckles of the door hinge and incorporates a Transport Canada emergency AD.
