Return of Native Remains and Items

Under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the U.S. Forest Service (Angeles National Forest) intends to return Native American human remains, associated and unassociated funerary objects, sacred objects, and objects of cultural patrimony that were removed from Federal or Tribal lands. These items will be given to lineal descendants, the Indian Tribe, or a Native Hawaiian organization with priority for disposition.
