Puerto Rico CDBG-DR Waivers for Recovery
If you are in Puerto Rico with property damaged by the major disasters in 2017, HUD is allowing the Commonwealth to use CDBG-DR funds with waivers and alternative requirements to parts of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (URA) and waivers of parts of the Housing and Community Development Act (HCDA). These changes let Puerto Rico acquire disaster-damaged properties and provide recovery assistance using funds allocated under the 2017 and 2018 supplemental appropriations.
