Gulf South proposes to add 236,000 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) of natural gas capacity by restoring the Parks Line MAOP and building the Sorrento Compressor Station. The Parks Line would operate at its certificated maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) of 1,000 pounds per square inch (psi).
Local Construction Replacing 4.5 Miles
The Project would replace eleven pipeline segments equal to 4.5 miles of the 30-inch-diameter Parks Line in St. Martin Parish and build a new 12,510-horsepower Sorrento Compressor Station with related pipelines (two 0.29-mile discharge lines and 1.06 miles of 20-inch pipeline). Rural Tap Reestablished, Inactive Tap Removed
The Project would reestablish an unmetered rural tap at milepost 54.93 and remove one inactive tap at milepost 52.76 on the Parks Line. This explicitly restores a rural service connection in the project area.
