Grants open for taxpayer clinics
Organizations can apply for Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) matching grants on www.grants.gov from May 15, 2025 through July 14, 2025. The grants fund programs that serve eligible taxpayers during the performance period January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
Funding for startup, expansion, continuation
The IRS may award grants to support the development/startup, expansion, or continuation of programs that provide qualified services to eligible taxpayers. Eligible activities explicitly include starting new clinics, growing existing services, or maintaining ongoing programs.
Multi-year grants allowed up to 3 years
The IRS is authorized to award multi-year LITC grants not to exceed three years. Applicants may receive awards that cover multiple years, subject to the statutory three-year limit.
