EPA Delays PFAS Reporting: More Time for Toxic Data Crunch

Published Date: 5/13/2025

Rule

Summary

The EPA is pushing back the deadline for companies to report info about PFAS chemicals, giving them more time to get ready. Starting April 13, 2026, manufacturers and importers must submit their data by October 13, 2026, with a special later deadline for some small importers. This change helps EPA improve the reporting process and consider public feedback before the deadline hits—no extra costs, just more time to get it right!

PFAS Reporting Deadline Shifted Later

If you manufacture or import PFAS in any year between 2011 and 2022, the EPA moved the TSCA PFAS data reporting window to begin on April 13, 2026 and end on October 13, 2026. Small manufacturers who report only as article importers have an alternate submission deadline of April 13, 2027; you must report data about exposure and environmental and health effects.
