Three-Year Extension for Dealer Reporting

The FTC proposes to extend for an additional three years its Paperwork Reduction Act clearance to keep collecting information under the Information Furnishers Rule that applies to certain motor vehicle dealers and to shared enforcement of the furnisher provisions (subpart E) of the CFPB’s Regulation V for other entities. The current clearance expires on September 30, 2025. The agency says the extension keeps consumer reports accurate and will not add new costs or paperwork.
