Summary
Cboe EDGA Exchange is raising the monthly fee for its 10 Gb physical ports, which traders and firms use to connect to the exchange. This change means users will pay more starting right away, helping the exchange cover costs and improve services. If you rely on these ports, get ready for a slightly bigger bill each month!
Analyzed Economic Effects
3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.
10 Gb Port Fee Raised to $8,500
If you (a trading firm or market participant) pay for a 10 Gb physical port to connect to Cboe EDGA, the monthly fee increases from $7,500 to $8,500 per port. This change took effect immediately after the filing on May 9, 2025, so users will start paying the higher monthly amount right away.
Single Fee Covers Affiliate Connections
A single $8,500 monthly fee will be charged per 10 Gb physical port even if that port is used to access multiple Cboe affiliate exchanges (for example, Cboe BYX, BZX, EDGX, and C2). You will not be charged additional monthly port fees by EDGA for accessing its affiliate exchanges through the same physical port.
1 Gb Port Fee Remains $2,500
The Exchange will continue to charge $2,500 per month for a 1 Gb physical port; that fee is not changing. Market participants with modest capacity needs can continue to purchase the 1 Gb port instead of a 10 Gb port.
