Proposed Rule
Summary
The government is ending the special wage area for nonappropriated fund workers in Hennepin, Minnesota, because fewer people work there now. Abolish Hennepin NAF wage area
The Office of Personnel Management is proposing to abolish the Hennepin, Minnesota nonappropriated fund (NAF) Federal Wage System (FWS) wage area. OPM says this is because NAF FWS employment in the survey area has been declining and local activities no longer can conduct local wage surveys.
Most counties reassigned to nearby wage areas
OPM proposes to assign most counties that were in the Hennepin NAF FWS wage area to the nearest NAF FWS wage areas. The rule also says that counties without any NAF FWS employment would no longer be defined to a NAF wage area.
