NIH grant review dates announced
If you applied for the Maximizing Investigators' Research Award (R35), the PAR Panel: Technologies for Cancer Research, or RFA-EB-23-005 (bioethics for bionic/robotic devices), your applications will be reviewed in closed virtual meetings on July 2-3, 2025 (panel times listed between 9:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.). These meetings are when reviewers evaluate grant applications and decide funding outcomes.
Closed meetings protect applicants' privacy and IP
The meetings will be closed under 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(4) and (c)(6) to protect confidential trade secrets, commercial property (including patentable material), and personal information of individuals tied to the grant applications. This means applicants' sensitive technical details and personal data will not be made public during these reviews.
