India's Steel Bars Face U.S. Dumping Scrutiny and Fees

Published Date: 6/11/2025

Notice

Summary

The U.S. checked if stainless steel bars from India were sold too cheaply between Feb 2023 and Jan 2024. They found that most companies did sell below fair prices, but one company, Aamor Inox, did not. This could change the extra taxes some Indian steel makers pay, so everyone involved should pay attention and share their thoughts soon!

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

Several Indian Firms Found To Dump

The Department of Commerce preliminarily determined that Atlas Stainless Corporation Private Limited was collapsed with Astrabright LLP, Bahubali Steel Industries, Eurostahl Tech LLP, Venus Metal Corporation, Precision Metals, Venus Wire Industries Private Limited, Hindustan Inox Limited, and Sieves Manufactures (India) Private Limited, and that these firms sold stainless steel bar from India at less than normal value during February 1, 2023 through January 31, 2024. This preliminary finding could affect the antidumping duties (extra import charges) those companies pay.

Aamor Inox Not Found To Dump

The Department of Commerce preliminarily determined that Aamor Inox Limited did not make sales of stainless steel bar from India at less than normal value during the review period February 1, 2023 through January 31, 2024. Aamor was not preliminarily found to have dumped during this period.
