Temporary Tall-Ship Safety Zones

If you boat in Erie, Pennsylvania; Detroit, Michigan; or Duluth, Minnesota, the Coast Guard will establish temporary safety zones from July 10, 2025 through October 1, 2025 around each visiting tall ship. These zones will regulate vessel traffic in the navigable waters near the ships to protect participants and spectators; expect new boating rules while the zones are active, and the Coast Guard states there will be no extra costs.
