The FAA proposes an airworthiness directive for all Boeing Model 737-600, -700, -700C, -800, -900, and -900ER airplanes that would require a records check or inspection to determine if an affected main landing gear (MLG) outer cylinder is installed, and would require replacing all affected outer cylinders. The action responds to reports of improper grinding of the inner diameter of MLG outer cylinders that may have caused heat damage.
