Closed virtual NIH grant review meetings
If you are a scientist or research group applying for NIH grants, the Center for Scientific Review will hold closed virtual meetings on August 7, 2025; August 12–13, 2025; and August 14, 2025 to review and evaluate grant applications. These meetings help decide who receives health research funding and are not open for public attendance.
Protection of applicants' confidential information
The meetings are closed under 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(4) and 552b(c)(6) to protect confidential trade secrets, patentable material, and personal information about individuals associated with grant applications. This keeps applicants' private and commercial information from being publicly disclosed during the August 2025 review meetings.
