State Says No Existing Incinerators
Oklahoma submitted formal negative declarations saying there are no existing Other Solid Waste Incineration (OSWI), Hospital/Medical/Infectious Waste Incinerator (HMIWI), or Commercial and Industrial Solid Waste Incineration (CISWI) units in specified Oklahoma jurisdictions. The EPA is proposing to accept those negative declarations and amend its regulations to reflect that certification.
EPA Withdraws Prior CISWI Plan Approval
Because Oklahoma submitted the CISWI negative declaration and withdrew its CISWI plan revision, the EPA is withdrawing its prior proposed approval of Oklahoma's CISWI plan revision. This changes the regulatory status of the previously proposed plan revision for CISWI units in Oklahoma.
