Notice
Summary
The DoD is updating how it handles records for military spouse career programs, combining two systems into one called Military Spouse Education, Career Opportunities, and Employment Partnership. This change helps military spouses get better career support and makes the rules clearer about sharing info. These updates take effect now and won’t cost anyone extra.

DoD adds broader data sharing rules
DoD updated the system-of-records notice to incorporate the DoD standard routine uses (routine uses A through J) and to allow additional disclosures outside DoD related to the purpose of this records system. This change explicitly permits more standardized routine disclosures and some additional outside-DoD sharing tied to the system's purpose.
Military spouse records consolidated
If you are a military spouse, DoD is combining the Military Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) and My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) records into a single system renamed "Military Spouse Education, Career Opportunities, and Employment Partnership." The consolidation also rescinds the separate DPR 47 Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) Career Portal and reissues DPR 46 as the consolidated system of records.
