Airbus Choppers' Fake Fire Alarms Lead to Detector Swap Mandate
Published Date: 7/22/2025
Rule
Summary
The FAA is making a new rule for certain Airbus Helicopters because some engine fire detectors gave false alarms. If you own an AS 365 N3, EC 155B, or EC155B1 helicopter, you’ll need to replace these faulty detectors and can’t install the old ones anymore. This keeps everyone safer and helps avoid costly false fire warnings.
